/ The idea
Keep using the bookmark tools already built into your browser. Marks on Cloud adds sharing and synchronization only where you choose.
Every person keeps their own browser profile and Marks on Cloud account. Collaboration happens at folder level.
Shared folders live inside the browser’s normal bookmarks, so there is no separate bookmark manager to learn.
Only folders explicitly enrolled as shared are managed. Personal bookmarks elsewhere stay outside the system.
/ How it works
Add the extension to Chrome or Edge and connect your own Marks on Cloud account.
Create a shared folder, share an existing local folder, or join one through an invitation.
Place the shared folder under your Bookmarks Bar, Other Bookmarks, or another folder on each device.
Add, rename, move, reorder, or remove items according to your role; approved changes synchronize across authorized devices.
/ Planned first release
Marks on Cloud is being designed around dependable collaboration rather than a separate collection of web links.
Create or join more than one folder and place each one differently on every device.
Keep nested folders and synchronize create, edit, delete, move, and reorder actions.
Owner, Admin, Editor, and Viewer roles keep management and editing permissions clear.
Use separate browser profiles and devices while each shared folder converges on the authorized state.
Pending changes are designed to wait safely and reconcile when the connection returns.
Register, identify, rename, and revoke individual devices without changing your other sessions.
/ Privacy by boundary
Marks on Cloud is designed to inspect and synchronize only the bookmark folders you explicitly register as shared. Unrelated browser data remains outside the product.
/ Collaboration controls
Full folder control, member management, ownership transfer, and deletion.
Manage bookmarks, invitations, members, and day-to-day folder access.
Create and organize bookmarks and subfolders inside the shared tree.
Receive and use the shared folder without changing its authoritative content.
